Bathroom trends 2025: what to expect?

Nature is enveloping itself in beautiful autumn colors and temperatures are starting to drop: autumn has officially set in. High time to look ahead to the bathroom trends for 2025! What are the new trend colors? And which materials are popular? We already took a look among the novelties for next year and predict three remarkable trends. Read along quickly!

Trend 1: Wabi Sabi

We can already hear you thinking, “Wabi what?” After previously introducing us to the Japandi interior, a combination of Japanese minimalism and the popular Scandinavian interiors, a new style is now coming over from Japan.

Wabi sabi originated from an ancient Japanese philosophy that focuses on the beauty of imperfection. It is a mix of minimalism, raw, natural materials and remarkable contrasts. Think a freestanding bathtub in concrete look, wooden furniture and washbasins in stone. This results in a less sterile and primped look.

Trend 2: Natural colors and earth tones

In 2025, we all long for even more peace and softness in our interiors. We also notice this in the trend colors. We see mainly soft, neutral colors with here and there an accent such as old rose, clay green or warm earth tones. The strong contrast of black and white bathrooms is also disappearing and being replaced by a softer variant, where natural tones are combined with matte black or gray.

These colors are also inseparable from the growing desire for sustainability. They bring a piece of nature inside, so to speak. Another important trend in terms of color are monochromatic sinks. Thus, we increasingly see furniture with a sink top in the same color as the fronts.

Trend 3: Further advance of technology and sustainability

Sustainability remains an important factor in our bathroom. In fact, by now it is no longer a trend, but a fixture. In 2025, the use of recycled materials and smart technologies in particular will become increasingly crucial. Especially the latter will play an increasingly important role in saving water and energy in the bathroom. Think for example of smart shower heads that monitor your water consumption, sensor-controlled control plates for your toilet or smart mirrors with integrated LED lighting, heating or music.

But also production processes themselves are improving and offering more and more possibilities, for example, we now see shower trays with a thickness of only 2 cm
