The bathroom trends for 2025: an oasis of tranquility

In an increasingly fast-moving world, well-being, comfort and relaxation become even more important. And no better space to incorporate this than our bathroom. The bathroom trends for 2025 reflect more than ever a desire for tranquility and simplicity. Natural materials, smart technologies and minimalist atmospheres create incentive-free spaces where design and functionality come together.

Trend #1 Wabi Sabi

Originating from Japan, wabi sabi originates from an ancient philosophy where beauty is found in imperfection. It is a mix of minimalism, raw, natural materials and interesting contrasts. Think bathtubs in concrete look or washbasins in natural stone combined with a soft color palette and handmade and weathered elements.

In addition, ribbed wooden furniture will also remain ubiquitous in 2025. With their robust, yet natural character, they fit perfectly into the wabi sabi style, which nevertheless radiates comfort and serenity above all, without emphasizing luxury or perfection.

Trend #2 Natural colors and warm, earthy accents

That we are looking for even more peace and softness in 2025 is also evident in the trend colors. It's all about natural, soothing colors with a warm accent here and there. Earth tones like terracotta, deep brown and beige create an organic feel, while green colors like sage and clay green create a fresh, vibrant atmosphere.

The strong contrast of black and white bathrooms is also going out and being replaced with a softer version, combining natural tones with matte black or gray. Finally, we are also increasingly seeing monochromatic sinks, where the entire cabinet is done in a single strong color for a sleek and modern look.

Trend #3 Organic Shapes

Organic shapes are also here to stay this year. Whereas in 2024 they were mainly present in mirrors, top-mounted basins and accessories, we are now increasingly seeing rounded bathroom furniture. The nice thing about bathroom furniture with rounded corners is that they are not only aesthetically appealing, but also functional. They fit within almost any interior style, from sleek minimalist to soft Scandinavian, and this in both small and large bathrooms. They give a modern, refined look to your space and because sharp corners are avoided, they also contribute to a safer environment.

Trend #4 Luxurious walk-in showers

Walk-in showers continue to gain popularity and may be even more spacious and luxurious in 2025. High-quality materials such as natural stone, glass walls and rain or waterfall shower systems create a spa-like atmosphere at home.

We prefer to keep the design as sleek as possible. A shower basin recessed into the floor, invisible gutter drains and a simple glass wall, often even frameless, create an open, airy look and also make our bathroom visually more spacious. The result? A complete wellness experience at home that combines comfort, style and innovation.

Trend #5 Faucets in warm tones

Colored faucets remain a simple and cool way to add personality and character to your bathroom. Gun metal and brushed bronze, in particular, are trending in 2025. The bold, gray Gun metal shade fits perfectly in sleek, minimalist bathrooms and provides a less harsh contrast than black faucets. Brushed bronze's warm, golden finish is more likely to create a sophisticated, classic charm and pairs beautifully with rich, natural materials such as wood, marble and natural stone.

Nowadays, colored faucets increasingly feature a PVD finish. PVD, or Physical Vapor Deposition, is a process in which an extra layer of metal is applied to the faucet. This special coating makes your faucet not only more low-maintenance, but also more resistant to fingerprints and scratches. Admit it, that's a nice touch!

Trend #6 Minimalism

A minimalist bathroom focuses on timeless simplicity. It is not a short-lived trend like some others. This makes it a safe and durable choice; after all, you won't get tired of it anytime soon. For this reason, a minimalist bathroom also tends to choose slightly more luxurious materials such as solid wood and marble.

Sleek, floating furniture, natural materials and a neutral color scheme form the basis for a functional and practical design, where furniture and accessories are carefully chosen according to their utility a simplicity. This also makes a minimalist bathroom enormously interesting in terms of maintenance. After all, the less clutter and decoration, the easier it is to clean. Could that perhaps explain their popularity?

Trend #7 Further advance of technology and sustainability

Sustainability has become a fixture in our bathrooms, and in 2025 this will manifest itself in the use of recycled materials and smart technologies. Especially the latter is playing an increasingly important role in saving water and energy in the bathroom. Think for example of smart shower heads that monitor your water consumption, sensor-controlled control plates for your toilet or smart mirrors with integrated LED lighting, heating or music. But the shower toilet is also gaining ground by combining hygiene, comfort and sustainability.

In addition, advanced production technologies provide new possibilities, such as shower trays with a thickness of only 2 cm, countertop washbasins in recycled materials or shower walls with a gradual transition from dark to transparent as a replacement for the traditional glass wall with frosted strip.
