The Industrial style
The industrial style prefers straight, pure lines. To soften this strict minimalism, they are combined here and there with a curve. Predominantly tough and masculine, then, with an occasional gentle touch.
The colors
An Industrial bathroom calls for black. Although you may be surprised to learn that black is not the dominant color, but rather used as an accent. For example, it appears in faucets, shower profiles and accessories. Even your toilet can be in black if you wish.
In addition, we see mostly shades of gray and white. The combination of both creates an interesting contrast and contributes to that robust atmosphere so typical of the industrial style. If you want to break the black and white pattern, you can also integrate color. Do limit yourself to one accent color and choose a bright hue such as cobalt blue, deep yellow or vibrant orange. That way, you'll once again create that harsh contrast that the industrial style demands.
The materials
The materials used are also mostly rough and rugged, reminding us of the style of old industrial buildings once transformed into lofts. Think concrete, steel, metal, stone, clear glass and dark wood. Although these days there is also room for refined, chic and warmer furnishings. For example, woolen fabrics, rounded handles and matte, velvety faucets are making an appearance in the industrial bathroom.
Shapes and layout
Black faucets are pretty much a must in an industrial bathroom; they immediately set the right mood. The shower screen also lends itself perfectly to this. Choose a cabin or screen with black profiles, that way you will instantly get that industrial feel.
If you like to break up all that black, choose a cabinet in dark wood. Opt for a handle-less model for a modern, minimalist look. If you do prefer a piece of furniture with a handle, make sure it can be in black. This way, you will maintain peace and uniformity in your space.
