Miena waste table chair: colourful elegance inspired by the Far North

Scandinavian-inspired interiors have become more and more popular in the last few years. This design brings out typical features of this style of living such as warm colours, natural materials and clean lines. They give a room a modern touch without feeling cold. We regularly see influences from the Far North in bathroom design trends too. This mainly translates into sober design combined with pastel shades.

One of the pioneers who exported Scandinavian design to the rest of Europe was German product designer Anke Salomon. After training at home, she continued her studies at Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design. During her stay, she was inspired by the pristine nature and pure simplicity of Scandinavian design. She then integrated these elements into her designs.
